Calculation of half-lives against alpha-, cluster- decay, and spontaneous fission. We developed computer codes allowing to use the macroscopic-microscopic method, cranking inertia, etc. We weintroduced a new semi-empirical relationship (SemFIS) for the alpha-decay half-life. In cooperation with A. Sandulescu and W. Greiner, we published in 1980 our paper predicting this new decay mode 4 years before the first experiment. There are only four Romanian Scientists in Encyclopaedia Britanica: 1. N.C. Paulescu (1869-1931) who conducted groundbreaking research on the antidiabetic hormone insulin; 2. Henri Marie Coanda(1886 -1972) Romanian inventor, aerodynamics pioneer, and builder of an experimental aircraft. He discovered the Coandă effect of fluid dynamics; 3-4. Aureliu Sandulescu (1932- ) and Dorin N Poenaru (1936- ) Romanian theoretical physicists.
