Scope of the Conference:

Mesoscopic structures are between "not so few-" and "not too many-" body quantum systems. They exhibit specific finite size properties, like fluctuations, dissipative phenomena, collective excitations, superfluidity, shell and clustering effects, etc. The methods employed in the description of such systems try to match the few-body quantum mechanics from one side with the many-body techniques and thermodynamics from the other side.

The main goal of this interdisciplinary conference is to bring together scientists working in various areas of mesoscopic physics, from nanoscale condensed matter physics to nuclear physics, in order to facilitate the exchange of ideas and theoretical techniques, as well as the interaction between theorists and experimentalists.

Location:

Ovidius University, Constanta

To Ovidiu University
