The research interests revolve mainly around the deformation related phenomena in atomic nuclei considered at relatively low energies, about several MeV. A special attention is given to the symmetries emerging in many-body systems, such as dynamical symmetries of the collective nuclear motion or the spatial symmetry of combined single-particle and collective degrees of freedom. Another venue of research is the nuclear radioactivity in its many facets: proton emission, alpha and cluster radioactivity, and spontaneous fission.
