Location

Crişan is situated in the center of Danube Delta, in Romania.

Here you can see some pictures.

The Resort is situated on the Sulina branch of Danube, at the same distance (approx 45 km) from Tulcea, where the Delta starts, and town Sulina, where the Danube ends its long way which starts in Germany in the Black Forest Mountains. Actually the Resort is situated between Sulina branch on one side and a channel on the other side.

Mosquito are a lot especially in summer time, but in month of May hopefully there will be not serious problems with them. In the summer during evenings there are used some means or substances to prevent the mosquito to become aggressive.

When the weather is fine and the sky is open (no clouds), it is enough dark in the Delta during the night - you can watch the constellations.

For people who like the water and the sun, swimming and fish, Danube Delta is a very fine and interesting place, to enjoy a quiet life, far away from our everyday agitated world.

Excursions, free time

There exist several proposals for excursions in Danube Delta - 18-23 euro/person - for each of them.

The short list of excursions includes the one on channels to watch the sunset, in Letea jungle-forest, trip to Sulina where Danube flows into the Black Sea, and on the channels to seek birds and plants.
