Sinaia is a resort located on the picturesque valley of the river Prahova, surrounded by scenic peaks of the Bucegi Mountains. The city of Sinaia is one of the top travel destinations in Romania and one of the best vacation values. The city of Sinaia was named "The Carpathian Pearl" for his beauty and the architectural style. The city was the residence of the Romanian Royal Family 1880 - 1945; it is the home of Peles Castle, the most beautiful castle in the Southeastern Europe. Sinaia's surroundings primary natural features provide outdoors enthusiasts with unlimited options.
Activities include hiking, camping, interpretative trails and wildflower viewing. Visitors may drive, walk or bicycle through woodland slopes and wildflower meadows.
Present-day Sinaia is the result of extensive renewal projects to renovate highways, parks and buildings. Sinaia has much to offer in terms of shops, clubs, restaurants and night-life.
How to get there
Sinaia can be approached by car or by train. By car: From Bucharest take DN1 to Ploiesti and drive for about two hours direction

(SNCFR) site for schedule and availability. As Departure station ("Plecare") please write down "Bucuresti Nord" and as Arrival station ("Destinatie") write Sinaia.

Hotel
Most of the participants will be accommodated to Hotel International a four star complex. The following prices are available only if the participants are registered via the organizers:
Double room in single occupancy: 205 RON (Romanian Lei New), about 60 euro/day.
Double room in double occupancy: 118 RON, about 35 euro/ person/day.
Deluxe double room: 300 RON, about 88 euro/day.
There will be also a limited number of luxury suites at prices varying between 110-150 Euros/day.
Breakfast is included in room's price. Lunch costs are included in the conference fee. Additional meals for 13-15 euros can be pre-arranged at the same hotel, or the participants can chose to manage by themselves with those abundantly available around, in walking distance.
A limited number of places in youth hostels will be available at lower rates for students. Please contact the organizers for arrangements.
