From the airport: Take bus 780 to Gara de Nord (main railway station) or buses 783, 784 to Piata Universitatii (University Square, before last stop). From there see below.

From the main railway station: Take bus 781 to Atomistilor 94 bus stop (about a 30-40 minutes ride) and then walk along Atomistilor street for about 500 m towards the IFA tower (the tallest building around). The entrance to the institute is just behind it. Alternatively, one can take trolley bus 96 to the last stop (Depoul Alexandriei) and from there take bus 464 to Facultatea de Fizica bus stop (located across the street from the IFA tower). The entrance to the institute is 50 m across the street.
