Resistive dissipative magnetohydrodynamics from the Boltzmann equation

The framework that couples the electromagnetic field equations to the fluid-dynamical equations of motion is referred to as magnetohydrodynamics. The derivation of the equations of motion of relativistic, resistive, second-order dissipative magnetohydrodynamics from the Boltzmann-Vlasov equation, together with an introduction to fluid dynamics and its applications to heavy-ion collisions at RHIC and LHC energies will be presented.
